I’m joining in with hundreds of other writers online in the 31 Day Writing Challenge. I’m excited to share with you this series on Parenting With Purpose: Creating a God-Centered Home. You can find a similar series I completed on this topic back in 2014 here: 31 Days Series – Parenting with Purpose: Creating a God-Centered Home – hosted at my personal blog, The Mosaic Life.
As we begin, there are 5 things I’d like you to know about me, my family, and our topic for the month:
- My husband Chuck and I have been married for 14 years. We have kids ages 8, 5, 2, and 5 month old twins.
- This means I haven’t gone through all the stages of parenting and still have lots to learn!
- I struggle daily as I strive to make the best choices for and with my children.
- I’m learning to embrace a grace-based approach to parenting.
- There are hundreds of ways to create a God-centered home and I’ll be sharing just a handful of them. There are as many unique ways and resources to approach this topic as there are people!
What To Expect:
You can expect posts during the month of October focused on:
- practical parenting tools & resources for creating a God-centered home
- parenting-focused scriptures
- reviews & giveaways of Christian parenting books, CDs, and DVDs
- printable resources to use right away with your children
- inspiration & insight from other Christian parents {guest posts}
What Not To Expect:
- perfect or prescribed solutions
- judgements about other types of parenting
How You Will Benefit:
Learning often happens best in community!
By following along with the series & participating as you’re able in the comments section or the private Facebook group, you’ll:
- gain fresh perspectives on opportunities to create God-focused moments in your home
- learn about a treasure trove of resources to draw from
- enjoy interaction with other Christian parents & grandparents with similar goals
Ways to Stay Connected:
If you’re not already receiving blog posts by email, you can sign up to follow along with the series and have the posts delivered right to your inbox each week so you don’t have to remember to click over to the blog each day. When you sign up, you’ll also receive a free download of 101 Questions for Family Dinner Conversations as a practical resource to use right away.
You can connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
If you’d like to dig deeper into the topic each day, join the private Facebook group to connect with other parents and grandparents who are also passionate about creating a God-centered home.
I’ll be adding a link below as each day’s post goes live. In the meantime, check out the series I hosted in 2014 on this same topic.
